Crystal River, FLA -
Authorities report that the "crack" found at the Crystal River Nuclear Power Plant is not, in fact, the dangerous kind. (You know - the kind with cocaine that made Chris Rock all crazy and homosexual in that movie back in the early '90s).
No, authorities say, this crack is 100% drug free, and "harmless". It turns out that this "crack" is simply a half inch gap in a concrete wall at the nuclear power plant. The wall is 150 feet tall, 42 inches thick, and surrounds the Crystal River Nuclear Power Plant reactor. The "crack", officials say, is totally harmless.
Joey Ledford, a spokesman for the Nuclear Regulatory Commission, says that the plant has been closed down since September 26th for scheduled maintenance, not related to the "little crack in the wall". Because the power plant is not currently generating nuclear power, "there is no radiation that is being released as a result of this,'' Ledford said. Ledford also said that the plant will re-open on schedule, regardless of the silly little crack.
