TAMPA, FLA -
Tampa, Florida can now boast to the world that IKEA has graced us with a shrine to the Swedish God of Easy to Assemble Sleek Looking Furniture!!
And the arrival could not come a minute too soon. Tampa is currently experiencing a blood sucking bat invasion, and the authorities are up in arms. Seems to be nothing they can do, and Tampa residents are pretty much resigned to the realization that the bats are here to stay.
Basically, the furry winged creatures stick to the back of your neck, where they stay for 2-3 months before moving on. They lay eggs in your hair, so pretty soon you've got about 6-8 baby bats sticking to the back of your neck. It's a little annoying, but we've had worse.
But now with the arrival of IKEA you hardly hear any complaints about the bats. People are excitedly milling about, camping in front of the store, and throwing lavish IKEA parties.
Authorities are concerned, however, that the IKEA induced euphoria may be short lived. They are already planning a carnival sometime in late summer to provide residents with something else to take their minds off of the bats stuck to the backs of their necks.
