Gary Zavaleta, a 47 year old guy from Tampa, allegedly tried to use a tried and true "how to tell if the hooker you're talking to is really a cop" trick Saturday night at a popular hooker hangout in Tampa. According to police, during a reverse prostitution sting on Nebraska Avenue, Gary asked a hooker who was really a cop to show her breasts to prove she was not a cop. Mr. Zavaleta apparently was not real hip on what's legal and what's not legal. To his unpleasant surprise the woman turned out to be a cop, did not show her boobs, and arrested him anyway. He was charged with "an unlawful act as a precursor to prostitution".
The lesson to be learned here is that the old "show me your tits and then I'll pay you for sex" trick is obsolete. Over the years, an unknown number of hookers have shown their boobs to "potential customers", only to have the guy drive off anyway. Well now hopefully this devious "get a free look at a crack ho's boobs" scam, that is not only disrespectful to workers of the street, but also causes the workers of the street untold dollars in lost income, will subside in frequency.
So if you are a guy looking to get down and funky with a woman in exchange for money, remember that asking her to show her boobs can get you arrested just like asking her to perform a sex act. And if you are a crack ho, or any woman addicted to any drug, it is appropriate to demand payment up front for showing your boobs to a potential customer.
