Odessa, FLA -
Odessa is a nice rural town, famous for Fox's Corner, home of a real cool feed store, and a nice generic convenience store that will let you pay them later if you forget your debit card so you can just take your beer and go home, rather than go home and get your debit card and come back to get your beer. In other words, Odessa is a friendly little "Mayberry" kind of place. Sort of.
There are orange groves all over the place, and thanks to the recent economic meltdown, they will probably be around for a few more years.
I don't know the exact demographic makeup, but I would say its pretty much split between natives whose families have lived there for generations, and rich people who live in giant houses on the many lakes in the area. And then there's the occasional normal dirt-poor middle class family who got lucky and bought a place in the area at that perfect time when interest rates were low and house prices hadn't started to soar yet.
So any way what I'm getting at is that there isn't supposed to be gun-toting strippers barging into a house all gangsta-like thug style like this Renaye Lashawn Hicks did.
Renaye, a 33 year old stripper, a person who disrobes for money, (actually, it's been my experience that they actually "strip" before they hit the stage, so they are more like people who walk around a club naked for money) reportedly barged into an acqaintence's house saying "this is my best friend, come and get some", referring to the loaded gun she was carrying.
Basically, what happened is this:
Renaye showed up at the doorstep of Rosemary Jenkins' house, on Peterson Road, and demanded to see an "acquaintance", one Ndiyya Anderson, who was asleep in theback bedroom of the house. Renaye then barged into the house withot even being invited in and did that "this is my best friend, come and get some" jive talking. Rosemary and Ndiyya then ran and hid, and Renaye chickened out and ran off.
Now, some of the more cosmopolitan readers may say "WTF, this ain't nothing! Wadnt nobod shot at or nuttin like whats happening round all over ever day!" But what what I'm saying is this is ODESSA! And we don't get many gangstathug gun waving strippers threatening people around here. And therein lies THE REST OF THE STORY.
