Early this morning 35 year old Eric Ernsberger goes and picks up his buddy, 25 year old Jonathon Horne, and the two BFFs head back to Eric's place, at 10706 N Central Avenue. (Yes, of course it's in Tampa, FLA)

Now apparently Jonathon, who lives with his mother, doesn't know jack-beans about what it's like to work for a living and have to pay all of the bills, and cannot even comprehend the statement "value of a dollar".

So as the two chatted about Jonathon's lack of financial resposibilty, Eric started getting that paternal instinct thing going on. (He is a full decade wiser than Jonathon). See, the thing is, Eric, who has his own place and doesn't have the luxury of living in his Mama's house, was a little short on cash. Jonathon, on the other hand, had a pocket full of cash. Because he lives with Mom and Mom pays all the bills.

So of course, being Jonathon's buddy and all, Eric has a duty to his friend to show him what life is all about. The best way that Eric could teach his buddy Jonathon, with the props at hand, was to whack him in the face with a shovel. Apparently, Jonathon had a hard time comprehending the message, so Eric whacked him in the face with the shovel several more times. Sometimes a good shovel-whacking is just what a little smart-ass punk like Jonathon needs.

Now Eric stopped the shovel-whacking when Jonathon hit the ground like an oversized sack of flour. And as Jonathon layed there blood started gushing out of various headwounds, mostly from his broken nose.

So Eric then follows up the shovel whacking lesson with the logical next lesson - he takes all the money out of his buddie's pockets, along with his sole possession, a cell phone. Somehow the cops got wind of the whole thing and rushed to the scene. Not appreciating Eric's tough love approach to teaching Jonathon "the value of a dollar", the cops proceeded to arrest Eric. The cops charged Eric with robbery and aggravated battery with a deadly weapon (that's the shovel). They also dug up some phoney-baloney outstanding traffic warrant, and charged him with that also. Jonathon "went to the hospital and was coddled like a baby", according to Eric.
